  Eglinton Engineering began in 1971, with a contract for the manufacture of valve actuators for a ship being constructed in the Whyalla shipyards. Based on the high-quality standards of its founder, Bob Eglinton, the business grew over time to take in a broad base of industries and varying materials. Today Eglinton Engineering is in the hands of Bob's sons, David and Ian, who maintain the business's values of professionalism with a personal touch.

David Eglinton
David holds a Bachelor of Engineering Hons. (Mechanical), University of Adelaide; and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. His background is as senior product engineer in a multi-national manufacturing company.

Ian Eglinton
A qualified fitter and machinist, Ian has broad-based manufacturing, production scheduling and cost estimating expertise. Previously in the printing and building industries, Ian has been involved in the family business for more than 20 years.

The team
The Eglinton team of tradespeople is trained, technically savvy and draws on a wide range of skills to take a component from concept through to completion. A number are CAD CAM specialists, using up-to-the-minute programs to take customers' specialised component requirements from design through development and manufacture.
